The D&G Mixed Doubles Leagues started on  12th July with 4 teams in league 1 and 5 teams in league 2 with a new addition as Lochmaben Tennis Club entered a team.

In league 1’s first round of matches it was the current league 1 champions Dalbeattie A against current league 2 champions Dumfries B but Dalbeattie made sure it was an unhappy debut as they thrashed them 4-0. On the same night Dumfries A entertained Stewartry CSC with a battling draw (2-2) being the final result. In the 2nd round the Dalbeattie A v Dumfries A match was called off due to the weather and this gave Stewartry CSC a chance to go top and they took their chance as they eased past Dumfries B with a 4-0 win.

In league 2 both Kirkcudbright teams started with 3-1 wins as the A team beat Dalbeattie B and Kirkcudbright B eased past the new kids Lochmaben.

This weeks sees Dumfries B entertain Dumfries A and Stewarty CSC travel through to Dalbeattie A and in league 2 Kirkcudbright play the team mates Kirkcudbright B whilst Dalbeattie B travel through to  Moffat to Beechgrove.
