On a horrible windy day, 9 fantastic orange players went on court with big smiles and plenty of laughter as they completed 29 matches. The tennis was as good as the weather would allow and every player managed a win on the day. The 2 favourites, Oliver Clark (Edinburgh) and Logan McCluskey (Dumfries) eased their way through the 2 groups winning all their matches and were joined in the semi finals by Logan’s training partners Grant Kerr and Lewis Hutchings (both Dumfries).

In the first semi Logan won a very tight match against Lewis 10-8 as both boys struggled with the wind. In the second semi Oliver’s experience gave him the edge over Grant as he won the match 10-7 to set up another match against Logan.

In the 3rd and 4th play-off Grant came out on top as he edged it by beating Lewis 10-6. In the final Oliver got of to a good start which left Logan playing catch up and despite his best efforts he was unable to catch Oliver who claimed the win 10-7.

The other 5 players all enjoyed victories with Thomas McCleary (Annan), Autumn Hodgins (Dumfries), Toby Irving, Rex Castillo and Charlotte Hall (Carlisle) all playing some great tennis when the weather allowed and well done to Charlotte for edging the girls match as she edge past Autumn 10-8.

Next Orange event is in February with the next tour events being Red and Green on the 3rd of November.
