Despite the poor weather we managed to complete the Red ball event by transferring it indoors.

We had 5 Dumfries players and 3 from Carlisle taking part with some fantastic tennis from all players on the day. Jack Wearing, Dominik Czopek, both Dumfries, Rex Castillo and Toby Irving, both Carlisle came out the groups into the semi-finals. Jack made a good comeback to edge past Toby in the first semi 10-8 and Dominik played some good long rallies to frustrate Rex 10-4. Toby won the 3rd/4th play-off 10-3 against Rex.  Jack secure a fine victory but not before Dominik drag himself back into the match from 4-8 down to draw level at 9-9 before losing 10-9. Jack completed the day with 5 wins out of 5.

In the consolation final Ethan Leyman (Dumfries), who was playing his first ever event, started very strong against last months winner Adam Hunter (Dumfries) as he held of Adam’s comeback to win the consolation final 10-7. In the play-off Erin Charnock (Carlisle) beat Isaac Sharp (Dumfries) 10-6.
