The South of Scotland’s 12s and under girls team travelled down to Carlisle to play in the qualifying round of the County Cup against Cumbria, Yorkshire, Durham and Cleveland and the West of Scotland at the weekend.

The South of Scotland team is selected from players who play in Ayrshire, The Borders and Dumfries & Galloway with local girl Heather Keal from Moffat, who recently won the Dumfries & Galloway under 14s championship, being selected for the 2 days. The team didn’t manage any wins over the weekend but had a good battling draw against their neighbours from Cumbria on the first day with the girls working hard throughout the two days. Heather follows in the footsteps of previous team members from D&G, Sophie Robinson and Rhona Park.

Well done to Heather as this is a great reward for all her hard work.
